Easy to remember address :
Kihikihi Speedway
King Country Std Stock Champs

An afternoon of speedway in the sunday sun at Kihikihi following on from two great nights of teams racing at Waikaraka Park wasn't a half bad way to wind up the weekend .

I think there were around 28 Std Stocks for the King Country champs and sadly they were split into two uneven groups to set grid positions in the one race championship . To be honest the heat races were a bit ho hum but the final was brutal in the extreme .
23h Lance Ashton was the main carnage creator and he cn be cretited with rolling two cars plus dealing sveere beatings to a few more .
49h Stephen McPherson won the King Country Std Stock Champs .

Somewhere around a dozen Ltd Saloons raced on the day but track conditions didn't produce inspiring watching . I had to leave before their final which I hear 5m Brent McClymont won .

A good field of streetstocks raced for  their King Country Champs but I missed their final too , perhaps they saved their best performance for when I had left . 16K Trevor Demalmanche won the deal .

All in all a good day at Kihikihi with the Std Stock final on it's own worth the effort to attend  .
